During these quickly changing and confusing times, Smokies Cabins are still providing clean, comfortable homes for vacationers. The safety and security of our guests has always been a major focus of ours; one of the ways we protect our guests is by providing some of the cleanest cabins in Townsend – judging by our guests’ reviews.

Until just recently, Rob and I have done all the cleaning ourselves (okay, mostly Rob), because we weren’t able to find anyone as picky and perfectionist as us. That changed when we found the husband and wife cleaning team of Isaac and Toni, who are even pickier! They have been cleaning our residence, spring cleaned Hideaway on the Creek, and will soon spring clean Owl’s Hoot Chalet. Rob and I will continue to clean sometimes and will supervise Isaac and Toni to ensure superb cleanliness.

Extra Cleaning and Precautions to Protect Our Guests

Because of the coronavirus, we will enhance our procedures to include disinfecting frequently touched surfaces – every time – using disinfectants approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These include but are not limited to: all kitchen and bathroom surfaces, remote controls, door knobs, light switches, phones, and anything with buttons. We will also continue to sanitize bedding, pillows, etc.

If you are scheduled to come stay at one of our cabins but one or more of your party are feeling symptoms of coronavirus, we ask that you cancel your trip, for your sake, for the sake of our cleaners, and for the sake of our future guests. We also encourage you to obtain travel insurance and verify that it will cover you in the case of coronavirus.

As you make vacation plans or even think about whether to take a vacation, consider whether you are safer at home, in a congested travel destination like Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, or in the peaceful side of the Smokies. Most of our guests drive and don’t have to deal with airports and airplanes. We’ll provide a clean, disinfected home for you to relax and get away from all the coronavirus madness. A place where you can get outside and breathe fresh air. A place where you can hike or fish without crowds. A place that supports your good health.

We will continue to monitor the news and CDC guidance and will update our procedures and policies, as appropriate. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact us at 865-207-6071 or myra@smokiescabins.com. Meanwhile, stay safe and healthy!
