Smokies Cabins in Townsend are in the ideal location and natural setting, on a quiet country lane – but only minutes away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and all Townsend, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Knoxville attractions. Townsend is the peaceful side of the Smokies and gateway to Cades Cove.
Smokies Cabins offers two rental homes: Owl’s Hoot Chalet, a well-appointed, family-sized, 3-bedroom cedar chalet overlooking Rich Mountain and a 5-acre meadow; and Hideaway on the Creek, a comfy 1-bedroom log cabin on a peaceful creek. Owl’s Hoot Chalet is available on a nightly or weekly basis (2-7 night minimum, depending on the season), and Hideaway on the Creek is currently rented long-term.
We continuously improve Owl’s Hoot Chalet, with major improvements to the kitchen, living room, loft bedroom and bath, and exterior in 2022-25.
The recently remodeled kitchen is open to the dining and living rooms for easy entertaining or family time.
